Membership CLASSES
ACAA has 5 classes of membership which can be filled by application. These are
described below:
There are 3 classes of membership which can only be filled by Management Committee
appointment. These are described below:
If you are contemplating joining our association, you are encouraged to read all the material shown here carefully.
Accredited Member (INDIVIDUALS ONLY)
An Accredited member
- An Accredited member
- supports the Objects of the Association;
- has full membership voting rights;
- participates in the Association’s Continuing Professional Development Program, and
- is engaged in access consulting on an ongoing basis.
Associate Member (INDIVIDUAL ONLY)
An Associate member
- supports the Objects of the Association;
- is engaged in access consulting on an ongoing basis, and
- is not an Accredited member.
Affiliate Member (INDIVIDUAL ONLY)
An Affiliate member
- supports the Objects of the Association, and
- has an interest in access.
CORPORATE MEMBER (CORPORATE ONLY)
A Corporate member
- supports the Objects of the Association, and is
- an organisation such as a company, firm, or any other group interested in access.
Retired Member (INDIVIDUAL ONLY)
A Retired member
- supports the Objects of the Association,
- has an interest in access,
- has retired from active practice, and
- wishes to continue their keen interest in the Association and access.
Honorary Member (INDIVIDUALS ONLY)
Can only be filled by Management Committee appointment.
An Honorary Member
- is a person of eminence who has contributed to an accessible built environment, and
- is not nor has been a practising access consultant.
Life Member (INDIVIDUALS ONLY)
Can only be filled by Management Committee appointment.
A Life member
- has provided meritorious service to the Association,
- may be a practicing access consultant, and
- has had at least 10 years continuous membership with the Association
Fellow Member (INDIVIDUALS ONLY)
Can only be filled by Management Committee appointment.
A Fellow member
- has made a significant contribution in the field of access,
- is a practicing accredited access consultant, and
- has had at least 10 years continuous membership with the Association
